Police confirm death of man in Kennet and Avon Canal is not being treated as suspicious

Police investigating the death of a man in the canal near Winsley say it was not suspicious.

Emergency services were called to the Kennet and Avon Canal on Friday morning after the body of a man was found.

A police spokesman said: “It has been confirmed as a non-suspicious death. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased. Our enquiries will now continue on behalf of the coroner.”
