Green Party to fight for seats in town council elections

THE man behind Bradford on Avon’s Plastic-Free campaign is planning to stand Green Party candidates in the next town council local elections.

John Pearce, of Bradford on Avon Green Party, said: “We have tried to stand Green Party candidates in BoA before without success.

“While Ideal Bradford have adopted some environmental measures, any action on the climate and ecological emergency has stalled. “Nearly a year after they were asked and agreed to pass a motion declaring the emergency no new practical measures have been implemented.

“With some reluctance it seems necessary to consider standing Green Party candidates for the next town council elections.”

“We would welcome your views, preferably constructive.”
