Soulful Messiah: A Celebration

  • in

Soulful Messiah: A Celebration is a contemporary reinterpretation of Handel’s Messiah, inspired by the spectacular 1992 album Handel’s Messiah: A Soulful Celebration. Jazz and gospel music meets the classical under the direction of one of the Southwest’s most versatile music directors, Mike Daniels.

The cast of soloists is drawn from the members of the internationally-renowned vocal group Black Voices and the chorus will be brought to us by the award-winning Town Hall Gospel Choir. They are joined by Bradford-on-Avon’s very own Soul Celebration Community Choir and the Veritas Orchestra (whose membership includes some of the very best classical and jazz musicians in the region).

The combined expressive power of jazz and gospel music along with Handel’s genius ensures that this will be a truly unforgettable event.
