“Your Economy, Your Business” – Area Board discusses economic and business priorities for the area
Wiltshire Council’s Bradford on Avon Area Board next meets on Wednesday 14 September at the Glove Factory Studios in Holt at 6.30pm for 7pm in a special meeting held jointly with BoA Business.
Tim Martienssen, Head of Service for Economic Development and Planning at Wiltshire Council, will be speaking on the “big picture” economic priorities for the area, including infrastructure, assets, skills and opportunities for investment.
A session on “Doing Business in Holt” will be led by the owners and tenants of the Glove Factory Studios who will discuss the advantages and the frustrations of working from a village location.
The Parish Council will speak briefly on local issues including the Neighbourhood Plan.
Ruth Warren from BoA Business will talk about their work to promote business in the town together with some of the frustrations such as repeated road closures.
Jim Lynch will preview the unveiling of the Iron Duke and the Heritage Lottery project to remember the industrial heritage of the town.
