Explosive bomb scare

ARMED officers raided a road in Bradford on Avon after a group of of children were frightened by a man who boasted to them about how he had made an explosive device.

Police officers attended the scene on Pound Lane around 4.30pm on Sunday afternoon.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “As a result of the information we were given, local officers were quickly supported by armed officers and the police helicopter to locate this individual and our enquiries continue in the town.

“We are keeping an open mind at this time as we work to establish all of the facts.”
