Double prosecution for Lorry Watch – driver and company
Lorry Watch prosecution today. Morrison Utility Services Ltd pleaded guilty to 4 charges having breached the weight restriction order on B-on-A Town Bridge on 4 separate occasions in September and October 2012. The company was fined a total of £2345 (fine – £2200, Victim Surcharge – £70, Costs – £75).
It was the same vehicle, driven by the same driver that crossed the bridge on all 4 occasions. The driver was charged with 2 offences and pleaded guilty. He was fined a total of £235 (fine – £140, Victim Surcharge – £20, Costs – £75). This is the first time a driver has been prosecuted for breaching the weight restriction order
