Double birthday celebrations at care home
It was party time at Wiltshire Heights care home in Bradford on Avon with two very special friends celebrating milestones together.
Resident Joy Freeman celebrated her 102nd birthday on October 2 alongside Oscar who celebrated his 2nd birthday.
Oscar is great-grandson of Leisure and Wellness coordinator Julie Adcock. He was born exactly 100 years after Joy.
Ms Freeman and Oscar were joined by family and friends from the home and were entertained with live music.
After a toast to the birthday girl and boy and the blowing out of the candles, poems were read and gifts were exchanged between families
Julie Adcock from Wiltshire Heights said: “To have these two amazing people born exactly 100 years apart is something truly to be celebrated.
“Oscar enjoys visiting Joy when we have events at the home.
“They have an amazing bond and long may it continue.”
