A small correction. The Liberal Democrats have set-up a petition at http://campaigns.libdems.org.uk/savebradfordonavonpool. We will support any citizens campaign to support the future of the pool, but have set-up our own campaign to get things moving.

What a shame I missed this! I was 'on the cut' and didn't arrive home in time (until today)...

I look forward to reading about the dialogue and results.

Brilliant result Duncan, well done. You deserve this as you and your supporters have worked so hard and you were clearly head and shoulders above any of the opposition. Good luck, we know you will serve us well.

Dear Duncan

Nice to meet you on Wednesday in the Quetzal Cafe in BoA. Brilliant achievement with the election. Well done. Sorry about the national result but hopefully the outcome allows manoeuvrings for positive change.

Please support a constructive process for Bradford on Avon town's people and council to secure a safe pedestrian and cyclist bridge that delicately compliments the exquisite existing ancient town bridge at the heart of our wonderful town. Please help us to make it a bridge that brings together not just two sides of the river, but the two sides of the debate.

Good luck with all you do and very best wishes for a productive term in parliament.

In the light of all existing bridges in Bradford, I should like to see a review of the 'real' technical constraints within which the bridge must be designed. Surely, a beam bridge, with structural members hidden underneith, would be better than a not very original "sore thumb"!

The bridge design, although modern, was, in my opinion, not appropriate for the given application.

I'd like to see harmony, not a sore thumb.

It's great to live in a town where people care so much about their surroundings and are keen to excercise their right to democracy.

As a supporter of the bridge design, I'm obviously disappointed with the outcome or the poll. However, it is great to see that most people identify the need for a new bridge. It is now time to harness the energy that the poll created and keep plans and designs moving forward. Since the Results of the poll, I have not heard about what the options are and how the project is going to be progressed.
