AskBoA: Serjeant Llewellyn Monger?

My Great Grandfather, Llewellyn William Stewart Monger, a Sargeant in the Durham Light Infantry, was killed in WW1 on the Somme. He left a widow and infant child, my father, at home in South Shields. My grandmother re-married and there has never been any contact with my grandfather’s family. His service record shows that he was from Bradford on Avon though I know that he was born in Caversham near Reading. His parents were Edward and Annie Monger and his siblings included Mabel, Beatrice, Winifred, Fred, Sidney, Newton and Roland.

If anyone can help me find out more about the Monger family connection with Bradford on Avon I would be very grateful. You can contact me at moc.t1590683369enret1590683369nitb@1590683369regno1590683369mwell1590683369

Thank you.

Llew.
