The following companies were found guilty today in Chippenham Magistrates Court. Hoyer UK Ltd of Leeds, West Yorkshire  were charged with, and pleaded guilty to, one offence and were fined £650.  A victim surcharge of £15 and an award of £75 costs brings the total penalty to £740. Environment Agency issues flood warning for BoA

The Environment Agency issued this flood warning just before 9am this morning. Up to 20 mm of rainfall is forecast between Midday on 22/11/2012 and Midnight on 22/11/2012. River levels on the River Avon at Bradford on Avon are stable and River Avon at Bathford are falling, but are likely to rise following the forecast rainfall later on Thursday. Rising floodwaters continue to cause problems in and around BoA today. …Read More

Lorry Watch – another prosecution

Lorry Watch has once again been successful in a prosecution against Parsons Distribution Ltd yesterday at Chippenham Magistrates Court as user of a 44 tonne vehicle which crossed the Town Bridge. They pleaded guilty and were fined £600 and ordered to pay £75 in costs to Wiltshire Council. (Contributed by: Stephanie Ridout)
