The following companies were found guilty at the Magistrates Court today 5th February- for crossing the town bridge and contravening the 18t weight limit.
J Bradshaw & Sons Ltd (Lincolnshire) pleaded guilty with respect to one offence and were fined £800. Costs of £75 and a victim surcharge of £15 were awarded. Total effective fine – £890.
Langdon Industries Ltd (Somerset) pleaded guilty with respect to one offence and were also fined £800. Similarly, costs of £75 and a victim surcharge of £15 were awarded. Total effective fine – £890.

The press releases that are sent out to haulage companies help we hope to spread the word about the 18t limit. There are clear signs all around the town in plenty of time to warn drivers of the approaching limit.
